This will be short as it is really late and I am really tired.

Today I stayed in Corning Iowa for the Saturday night dirt track races.  Because I am behind a bit, schedule wise, I went ahead and drove about 100 miles further up the road during the day and came back for the races.  I had a great time and met several drivers and team members.  The divisions here, all Nascar sanctioned, were Hobby Stock, Pro Stock, Modified and Late Model.   For the races I hung out with one of the teams, the Glendenning Brothers from Mt Ayr, Iowa.  Paul, the driver, was points leader in the Late Model division until he broke a ball joint before last weeks race and handily won his preliminary heat.  I don’t understand what the heats were for, as he was placed in the back of the field for the 25 lap feature race?!!

Had a great time and more to come later.
